The leaders of the new Shanghai Municipal Party Committee appeared in Zhuge Yujie Cheng’s youngest Standing Committee.

Han Zheng was elected secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee; Ying Yong and Yin Hong were elected deputy secretary of municipal Party committee; Dong Yunhu, Liao Guoxun, Wu Jingping, Zhou Bo, Chen Yin, Weng Zuliang, Zhuge Yujie and Shi Xiaolin were elected as standing committee members of municipal Party committee.

The newly elected members of the leadership team of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, led by Han Zheng, secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, met with Chinese and foreign journalists on the afternoon of the 12th. Han Zheng introduced the newly elected members of the Standing Committee one by one. Chen Yin, Zhuge Yujie and Shi Xiaolin are the new faces of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Committee.

Han Zheng introduced that Zhuge Yujie, the “post-70s”, was the youngest leader of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, and Shi Xiaolin, the “post-70s”, was the only female standing committee member.

Zhuge Yujie, who was born in May, 1971, served as the district chief and secretary of the district committee of Yangpu district in Shanghai. In July, 2016, he was appointed as the director of Shanghai under-secretary-general municipal Party committee and general office. In April this year, Yin Hong, who was the current deputy secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, was appointed as the secretary general of the Shanghai Municipal Committee. Shi Xiaolin, born in May, 1969, is currently the secretary of the Putuo district committee of Shanghai. Chen Yin, another newly elected member of the Standing Committee, is currently the vice mayor of Shanghai.

Xu Zezhou, Jiang Ping and shahailin no longer serve as the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Committee. In January this year, Xu Zezhou and shahailin were elected as deputy directors of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress by-election, and Jiang Ping was elected as vice chairman of Shanghai CPPCC.


Han Zheng said at the press conference that the new Shanghai Municipal Party Committee leadership will focus on solving the most concerned, direct and realistic interests of the public. We will do a good job in the first priority of development, take the supply-side structural reform as the main line, focus on improving the quality and efficiency of development, and strive to achieve higher quality, more efficient, more fair, more sustainable development; We will pay special attention to the major strategic measure of reform and innovation, take the reform of FTZ as a breakthrough, take the construction of science and technology innovation center as an important carrier, and continuously tap the dividends of system innovation, continue to stimulate market vitality and development momentum, continuously enhance new impetus for urban development, and basically build an international economic, financial, trade and shipping center.

On the morning of that day, the 11th Congress of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai, which lasted for five days, closed after completing the set agenda. The Congress elected representatives from Shanghai to attend the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China, 87 members of the 11th CPC Shanghai commission and 16 alternate members were elected, and 53 members of the 11th CPC Shanghai Commission for Discipline Inspection were elected.
