Shaanxi does not belong to the high incidence area of H7N9 cases

Fever timely wear mask to see a doctor

Chinese Business News (reporter Li Lin) disease control experts said that Shaanxi does not belong to the area with high incidence of H7N9 cases. We do not need to panic and should raise the awareness of prevention.

Up to now, 4 cases of H7N9 have been confirmed in our province, and two of them have died. According to experts from the provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the incubation period of H7N9 cases is generally within 7 days, or up to 10 days. Pneumonia is the main clinical manifestation. Patients often have fever, cough and expectoration, which may be accompanied by headache, muscle soreness, diarrhea or vomiting. Severe patients usually have severe pneumonia in 3-7 days after onset, and their body temperature mostly lasts above 39℃. They have difficulty breathing and may be accompanied by hemoptysis and sputum.

The cases of H7N9 mainly occurred in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and southeast coastal areas. Our province is the 24th Province in the country where bird flu is found, and it does not belong to a high incidence area.

Experts remind that there is no vaccine available to prevent the infection of H7N9 virus. In daily life, try not to go to the live poultry market, especially to the mobile stalls to buy live poultry, do not touch live poultry, especially the dead live poultry. The H7N9 virus can be inactivated by heating at 65℃ for 30 minutes or heating at 100℃ for more than 2 minutes. Poultry meat such as chickens, ducks and their meat products and poultry eggs must be cooked thoroughly before eating.

To reduce the occurrence of severe cases and deaths of H7N9, it is very important to see a doctor at an early stage and treat them at an early stage. It is suggested that if fever and respiratory symptoms occur in the near future, you should wear a mask, go to a regular medical institution as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment, and tell the doctor the possible poultry contact before the onset of the disease, as well as the poultry environmental exposure, etc.

Xi’an municipal health Planning Commission recently held a conference on the prevention and control of avian influenza A (H7N9), demanding to strengthen the epidemic monitoring, do a good job in the monitoring of influenza-like cases and unexplained pneumonia cases, and timely detect the outbreak. All efforts should be made to do a good job in medical treatment. All medical and health institutions should standardize fever clinics. For patients with fever, they should promptly inquire about the contact history of poultry, so as to achieve early detection, early diagnosis, early reporting and early treatment, at the same time, all staff training will be carried out and all treatment equipment and drugs will be provided. According to the principle of localization, all districts and counties actively carry out publicity and education on the prevention and control knowledge of avian influenza A (H7N9) among poultry farms, slaughter houses and live poultry markets.
