Zhao Kezhi, secretary of the Hebei provincial Party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, Xu Qin, deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee and governor, met with Hao Ping. The two sides had a full exchange on strengthening the strategic cooperation between schools and provinces and reached a five-point consensus. Among them, Peking University Guanghua will establish a branch in Xiong’an.
“To establish a branch in Xiong’an, its orientation is not only to carry out high-end training for management talents. Thought is the most precious resource of Guanghua. Xiong’an branch will also play the role of Guanghua as an important think tank for national economic and social development, contributing thoughts and suggestions to the development of the new district.” Liu Qiao, dean of Guanghua School of Management, said.
Dawei, secretary of the Guanghua party committee of Peking University, stressed that the establishment of the Xiong’an branch was also in line with the national strategy. Every step of Guanghua branch is closely linked with the national development strategy. Xiong’an has been given a strategic positioning of the same level as Shenzhen special economic zone and Pudong New Area in Shanghai. In the Pearl-Delta region and Yangtze River Delta regions where the latter two are located, Guanghua has set up Shenzhen branch and Shanghai branch, actively provide intellectual support for local construction. Peking University and Hebei reached five consensus
Zhao Kezhi first welcomed Hao Ping’s visit on behalf of the provincial Party committee and provincial government, and introduced the current economic and social development of Hebei province. In fact, the establishment of each Guanghua branch is closely linked with the national development strategy. In the Pearl River Delta region, the first level of China’s economic growth, Peking University Guanghua opened a branch in Shenzhen in 1999, taking special economic zones as the center, radiating the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, and continuously contributing to the Pearl-Delta region and the forefront of China’s reform and opening up; in the Yangtze River Delta region with the second level of China’s economic growth, Guanghua established EMBA Shanghai office in Shanghai in 2001 and then established a branch to connect Beijing and Shanghai academic exchanges and aggregate resources in East China, the Pudong New Area, which serves finance as the starting point, radiates the entire Yangtze River economic belt. As an important strategic plan for Peking University to implement the national strategy of “The Belt and Road Initiative” and support the sustainable development of social economy in western China, in 2014, Guanghua Xi’an branch was officially completed, gradually establishing and perfecting an open large platform cluster integrating “talent cultivation, high-end think tank and innovative industry base”; Rooted in southwest China, linking the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River economic belt, Guanghua Chengdu branch officially settled in Chengdu Tianfu New District in 2015 to build an ecosystem of education and practice of the whole value chain in southwest China managerial economic and promote regional economic development; In the future, xiong’an branch will also devote itself to the intellectual service of Xiong’an New District and even the whole Hebei region, helping the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

The Guanghua Xiong’an branch will devote itself to providing ideas for the development of Xiong’an and open a new cycle of China’s reform and opening up together with Xiong’an New District.
