According to the latest data of Longzhong Information, it is estimated that the gasoline and diesel will be lowered by 230 yuan/ton. In addition, Zhuochuang Information is expected to reduce 220 yuan/ton, and Zhongyu Information is expected to reduce 230 yuan/ton.

Since 2017, domestic refined oil price adjustment has shown a trend of “three rises, three falls and two stranding. Many institutions predict that this round of price adjustment will hit the biggest decline in the year.

“During this round of pricing cycle, the oil production of many countries continued to rise, which filled the market with anxiety.” Zhu Yinghua, an analyst at Zhongyu Information, said that Libya’s crude oil production recovered to its highest level in December 2014, and the news that the country plans to further push up production also intensified market concerns.

Zhu Yinghua said that at the same time, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reduced the implementation rate in April, which also caused a certain degree of pressure on the oil market.

According to the official website of the American Energy Information Association (EIA), EIA recently released a monthly report, raising its forecast for US crude oil production in 2017 and lowering its expectation for oil prices.


On May 9th, US WTI crude oil futures closed down $0.55 at $45.88 per barrel. Brent crude oil futures closed down $0.61 at $48.73 per barrel.

Li Yan, an oil analyst at Longzhong Information, said that in terms of retail, the price of gasoline and diesel in this round may be lowered by 0.18-0.21 yuan/liter.

He pointed out that taking Shandong province as an example, the retail price of No. 92 gasoline at Sinopec and PetroChina gas stations will drop to 6.1 yuan/liter, and the retail price of No. 95 gasoline will drop to 6.6 yuan/liter; the price of No. 92 gasoline in some private stations will be around 5.5-5.9 yuan/liter, falling below the “6 Yuan era”.
