Recently, Eryuan county established a four-level Hechang system linked by 42 county leaders, 91 township cadres, 193 villages (communities) and 256 village cadres. The river changers will comprehensively cover 57 rivers and 457 river sections in Eryuan county with grid management of shore, water surface and watershed.
Yong’an River is an important river channel in Eryuan county, which integrates drainage, irrigation and other multi-purpose purposes. In recent years, the pollution has been serious. This year, Eryuan County started the Yong’an River Green watershed construction project, and the water quality was upgraded from five categories to three categories.

Cibi Lake is one of the main lakes in the upper reaches of Erhai Lake. Recently, 700 mu of wet pond has been retreated around Cibi Lake, and 1200 mu of beach and lakeside belt around Haixi sea can be repaired by the end of the year. Ashihong is a villager of Guanying village of Haikou village committee in Eryuan county. The fish pond with more than one mu in his family was retreated. The average annual income of the fish pond was about 6,000 yuan, and now the annual rent is only 2,000 yuan. Ashihong told that as villagers around the Cibi Lake, they should make their own contribution to protecting water sources.
It is reported that the investment of the project of restoration and construction of wetlands around the lake and restoration of lakeside zone in Cibi Lake is estimated to be 98.6764 million yuan. The construction content of the project consists of two parts: Construction of wetland system around the lake and ecological restoration of lakeside zone, the construction of the wetland system around the lake includes three projects: official camp wetland, Haikou wetland and Dazhuang wetland, covering an area of about 1497 mu. After the completion of the project, it will reach a low pollution water treatment scale of 15000 m3/d.
The ecological restoration of lakeside zone mainly includes three projects: ecological restoration of lakeside zone from official camp to Longwang Temple section, ecological restoration of lakeside zone on the West Bank Beach and ecological restoration of lakeside zone on the east bank. The lakeside zone is about 8.07 kilometers long with a total area of 625467 square meters.
