The meeting was attended by 87 members of Shanghai Municipal Committee and 16 alternate members of Shanghai Municipal Committee. Comrade Han Zheng presided over the meeting.
The plenary session elected Han Zheng as the secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Ying Yong and Yin Hong as the deputy secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee; The members elected as the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee were Dong Yunhu, Liao Guoxun, Wu Jingping, Zhou Bo, Chen Yin, Weng Zuliang, zhuge Yujie and Shi Xiaolin.
